The South Africa born Craig West turned Professional in 1992 playing off a +2 Handicap and started his professional career as Assistant Professional at the well known Fancourt Resort in South Africa. Soon he left his motherland to work as a PGA Professional in Germany. After his first position at Hewer Golf Clinic in Hürth near Cologne, he moved to Golfclub Gut Lärchenhof, the first Jack Nicklaus course in Germany, followed by leading positions at Golfclub Hummelbach Aue and Gut Clarenhof where he was responsible as Director of the Golf Academy.

In early 2003 Craig West took responsibility for the junior development program in the renowned Hubbelrather Golf Club in Düsseldorf. Between 2004 and 2008 he and his teams were successful with numerous German Championship titles (youth) and helped the first Mens and Womens team to get back and compete in the first German golf division (Bundesliga) In 2007, Craig brought the best competitive sports results ever for GC Hubbelrath: winning their first Womens German Championship and Womens European Championship, as well as runner up successes for the Mens and Youth teams.

Craig West left GC Hubbelrath at the end of 2008 in order to focus on his new opportunity as managing partner of West Golf GmbH and to head the Craig West Golf School, which now also has 2 further Schools, in KölnGolf and in Golf Course Siebengebirge.
